Carlyn D. Crawley
Carlyn was raised an Army Brat, moving most of her childhood. Eventually, she settled with her parents in Prince George's County, Maryland where she graduated from high school. Soon after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from the historically black Hampton University, she made Washington, DC home. Though she's settled comfortably in the DMV, her upbringing sparked an interest in seeing the world. Carlyn has traveled to over 30 states, 5 continents, and 20+ countries.
Carlyn is a management consultant by trade and a passionate champion
of diversity in the travel space . Seeking to fuse her business acumen and love for all things travel + creative, she launched the Femtourage, an online community and podcast for women of color. She is also developing Crossing Nile, a deeply personal podcast and social action project to help young women find their authentic voices (launching in 2020).
She loves being a "city girl" and is a loving dog mom to a Shih Tzu-Bichon Frise mix named Kingsley.
